What it does

esteira-vagas reads its operator's own Gmail inbox, finds the messages that relate to job applications he has sent, and sorts them by what needs his attention first: an offer, a deadline about to expire, an interview invitation, a reply, a rejection.

It exists because a job search generates a lot of mail and almost none of it matters. Job alerts, newsletters and platform notifications bury the handful of messages that carry a deadline. This tool separates the two and shows only the second kind.

How it uses Google data

• One OAuth scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly.
• Read-only. It cannot send, reply to, modify, archive, label or delete any message.
• It does not read the whole mailbox. It runs a narrow search and reads only what that search returns, which in practice is well under 5% of the messages present.
• It does not read attachments and does not open documents linked from a message.
• Nothing is transmitted to any third party. There is no backend, no analytics, no telemetry.

Who can use it

Only its operator. There is no sign-up, no account system, no public interface and no distribution. It runs as a command in a terminal against a single Google account.
